In 2016 we raised money for Blind Veterans UK. This is a charity which is very close to Becki’s heart, as her Grandad, Leon Moules, benefited from their services greatly. Leon passed away in 2015, aged 95, and so Becki and Tanya decided on this charity for 2016 to honour him. He loved his music, and a party, so the 2016 event showcased lots of fantastic local musicians.

In 2015, the organisers (Becki and Tanya) chose to take a break from the event for a year. Both organisers have strong links to a wide variety of different charities, and both wanted to represent this with the event. The decision was made to raise money for a different charity at each event from now on.
2011 – 2014
For the first four years of it’s existence, The Mad Hatters Charity Tea Party raised money for Cystic Fibrosis Kids (CFK) – a Portsmouth based charity who work with families who have children in this area with Cystic Fibrosis by offering them support, and also helping to provide equipment that is needed in their children’s everyday lives, but is not always available on the NHS budget.
Across these four years, our event raised over £3,000 for the charity.
